Exemestane is an anti-estrogen and more specifically is an aromatase inhibitor (AI). Exemestane is an orally active drug that is being used most often for treating breast cancer in women but is also very famous for bodybuilding purposes for dealing with estrogenic-related side effects. Aromatase Inhibitors (AIs) are blocking the synthesis of estrogen, as a result, this is lowering the total estrogen levels in the body which is important due to anabolic steroid use in bodybuilding communities to remove aromatizing effects such as gyno and more.
Usually, blood work determining the amount of estrogen in the body is best for determining the dosage of the drug. But most often, Exemestane is taken anywhere between 12.5 mg on and every other day basis up to about 25 mg on a daily basis (usually in the worst cases).
